DDA also gave final approval for the change of land use from recreational and residential to public and semi-public facilities on three plots under the ownership of RML Hospital.
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is beginning to be more understanding. It has also approved changes to land use for the expansion of the Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital and the establishment of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), or CPI(M), office in Delhi. These changes allow people to purchase DDA properties even if they already own a flat or plot in the nation’s capital. Additionally, the DDA approved the building of six state bhavans, or guest residences, in Sector 17 of Dwarka.
These choices were made during a DDA meeting on August 29 that was presided over by LG VK Saxena and in which Subhasish Panda, the vice chairman, and other participants also present.
Amendment in housing regulation
The authority has approved an amendment to the DDA (Management and Disposal of Housing Estate) Regulations, 1968, removing the restriction that a person who owns a house or plot in Delhi cannot apply for the allotment of another DDA flat. This will allow all homebuyers to participate in housing schemes. The authority stated that the demand for DDA apartments was impacted by this restriction.
Change land use for RML Hospital
The DDA granted final clearance for the conversion of three plots owned by RML Hospital from recreational and residential to public and semi-public facilities in order to improve the nation’s healthcare infrastructure. The areas of these plots are 12,183.57, 8,134.18, and 3,601.70 square meters.
The CPI(M) was given an 868 square meter plot in Pocket-III, Rouse Avenue, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg, and the proposal to change its land use was also granted by the government. A public notice asking public comments and recommendations will now be released.
Construction of state guest houses
On a 1.6-hectare plot in Dwarka’s Sector-17, the DDA also approved the allocation of land for the construction of six state guest residences, or bhavans. This will make it possible for the corresponding state government to house state visitors, officers, and dignitaries who travel to Delhi on business.
