gurugram: Occupants of Chintel Paradiso’s Tower H asked to vacate flats
Tower-H of the Chintels Paradiso society in Sector 109 was ordered to be evacuated on Monday by Nishant Kumar Yadav, the District Disaster Management Authority Chairman and Deputy Commissioner.
On Monday, Nishant Kumar Yadav, the District Disaster Management Authority’s Chairman and Deputy Commissioner, gave the go-ahead for residents of Sector 109’s Chintels Paradiso society to evacuate Tower-H. The tower was deemed hazardous for human occupancy in the July release of the structural audit assessment from IIT Delhi.The DC gave Tower H occupants notice to leave their apartments within the following fifteen days.”There are directives to leave the property. For this work, District Town Planner (Enforcement) has been designated as the duty magistrate and nodal officer. Sections 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and Section 188 of the IPC would be used as legal bases for prosecution of those who disobey these directions, according to the notification.
The process of settling disputes between the builders and the homeowners is also ongoing. Approximately 50% of the 288 impacted residents received their complete and final compensation. There are still others in process. The inhabitants of H tower must leave their apartments within 15 days because the IIT Delhi assessment deems it unsafe “said Yadav, DC Gurugram.The IIT Delhi assessment states that although towers B and C are deteriorating but are not currently dangerous, the H tower, home to about 16 households, was deemed unsafe.IIT Delhi has deemed five of the nine towers—D, E, F, G, and H—to be unsafe. Two female occupants of Tower D died when six floors partially collapsed in February of last year.
While towers D, E, and F have been abandoned, about 12 families are still living in tower G, and about 16 families are still living in tower H. The district administration had already issued Tower G’s vacation order.Rakesh Hooda, the president of the Chintels Paradiso society Residents Welfare Association, asserted that they have not gotten a copy of the most recent order.”In accordance with the directive, the inhabitants are currently leaving their apartments. However, the builders are bothering occupants of other secure towers, such as A, B, and C. The society is not properly maintained. Hooda stated, “We have been informed of the order to vacate Tower H, but we have not yet received a copy of the order.”
