Ghaziabad Development Authority To Audit Its Lands & Properties

In a big decision, the municipal body of Ghaziabad has announced its plans to conduct a comprehensive audit of its lands and properties. Notably, the primary aim of this initiative is to develop residential and commercial projects on vacant lands.

The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) holds properties worth over INR 1,000 crores in Indirapuram alone. As per the reported information, post-audit, the land will be available for the development of schools, colleges, malls, and hospitals. The responsibility of conducting the audit has been assigned to the Land Acquisition Department.

Big proportion of Indirapuram land either encroached or unutilized It is worth mentioning that Indirapuram is a colony established by the GDA, sprawling over approximately 1,200 acres. However, a significant portion of land and property within this colony is either encroached upon or lying vacant. Data obtained from audit will be digitalized

According to GDA Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh, the audit will provide detailed information about the land and properties, such as the date of acquisition, intended use, total area, and current status. This information will be digitalized, allowing for easy access with a single click. Furthermore, the audit will also reveal any pending legal disputes related to the properties. In cases of disputes, the GDA will expedite legal proceedings to resolve them quickly
